Cladding

Laser Cladding is an excellent option if you want to repair or modify older components that are cost-centric or time-consuming using laser cladding.

Laser cladding can be an affordable option than procuring new components. Laser Cladding adapts to two different methods for cladding, cladding with a powder feeder or wire feeder. In the processes, powder or wire is fed overlapping the actual component surface area where the laser melts the added layer and fuses the parent material with additive material with a high-density porosity-free layer.

This Solution is fitted with a continuous temperature monitoring device to avoid micro-cracks. HAZ (Heat Affected Zone) is extremely low compared to conventional cladding systems or methods.

Laser Cladding is suitable for various applications like Die Mold Repairs, Ship Component Repairs, Aerospace Component Repairs, Oil and Gas Industry Components, Water Walls and Tanks, Hard Facing of Valve Seats, Bearing Shafts, Bearing Seats, Cylinder Liners and Pins, Hydraulic Shafts, Mining Equipment, Forestry and Agricultural Equipment, Re-manufacturing.

You Must Know

Laser cladding is a type of coatings that are applied to metal surfaces to improve the resistance to corrosion and wear. The process of applying laser cladding is similar to that of other coatings, but the laser energy is used to create a thin, even layer of metal on the surface. This layer of metal is then resistant to corrosion and wear, and it can also be easily removed if necessary.

Laser cladding is used in a variety of applications, including aircraft, marine, and industrial equipment. It is especially beneficial in areas where the metal surface is subject to a lot of wear and tear, such as on the wings of an aircraft or on the hull of a ship. Laser cladding can also be used to improve the appearance of metal surfaces, making them more resistant to scratches and other damage.

There are a number of different types of laser cladding, each with its own benefits. One common type of laser cladding is optical cladding.

Laser cladding has a long and varied history. The first application of laser cladding was in the 1960s, when scientists created a laser that could cut through metal. This technology led to the development of laser cutting, which is now a common manufacturing process.

Laser cladding is now used in a variety of applications, including the aerospace and automotive industries. Laser cladding is used to create a smooth, durable finish on metal parts. It is also used to create a protective coating on other materials, such as glass.Laser cladding is a versatile technology that can be used in a variety of applications. It is a fast and reliable process that can create a durable finish on metal parts.
