Laser Hardening
System

Laser Hardening System offers high-quality, high-speed selective laser hardening solutions. The material surface is exposed to a laser beam to generate heat which rises the temperature of the material and rapidly cools due to the thermal conductivity of the material. Laser hardening is efficient, quick, clean, and low energy consumption which does not require a heat removal facility as compared to conventional hardening ovens. The hardness of the material is adjustable by changing the focus, power & frequency of laser. It also features a high-speed constant temperature feedback sensor which helps to avoid micro-cracks or layer melting generated during the hardening process, it is the main reason for rejection or failure.

Laser hardening can be done on difficult-to-reach areas like ID (Inner Diameter) Hardening or complex parts like engine liners. Selective hardening is an advantage over conventional type of hardening. Applications like Crankshafts, Camshafts, Gear Teeth and Gear Hobs are the best examples of selective laser hardening.

You Must Know

Laser hardening is a process where a layer of hardening material is deposited on the surface of a metal by the use of a laser. The hardening material can be a solid, liquid, or gas. There are many benefits to laser hardening. First, it is a very accurate process, which means that the finished product will be of high quality. Second, laser hardening is a fast process, which means that it can be used to quickly produce finished products. Finally, laser hardening is an environmentally friendly process, which means that it can be used to produce products that are environmentally friendly.

Laser hardening is a process in which a material is heated to a high temperature and then rapidly quenched to produce a hard, brittle surface. The hardening process can be used to make a variety of materials, such as metals, plastics, and composites, more resistant to wear and tear.

The most common type of laser hardening process uses a CO2 laser. The material is placed between two mirrors, and the laser is focused on the material. The laser heats the material up to a high temperature, and then the material is rapidly quenched. This causes the material to break down into small pieces, which makes it harder.

Laser hardening is used to make a variety of materials more resistant to wear and tear. It is especially useful for making metals, plastics, etc.

    Scantech Laser Hardening Machine

There are multiple ways to harden a material using lasers. The most common method is to apply a series of pulses of laser light to the material. The laser hardens the material by vaporizing tiny particles in the material. This process can be used on metals, ceramics, polymers, and other materials. There are a few different types of lasers that can be used for hardening. The most common type of laser is the diode laser. Diode lasers are small and easy to use, and they produce very high levels of heat. They are most commonly used for cutting and welding materials.

The second most common type of laser is the helium-neon laser. helium-neon lasers are larger and more powerful, and they can be used for a wider range of applications. Laser hardening is a process that is used to make metals more resistant to wear and tear. The process starts by heating the metal to a high temperature, and then using a laser to create a hard coating. The hard coating makes the metal more resistant to damage, and it also helps to create a smoother surface.
